The world lost a Queen yesterday. The passing of such a vibrant  and powerful voice, whose impact extended well beyond the stage is an astonishing blow. Yet though we may have many miles to go,  as we inch towards equality across all communities, we’re taking a beat this weekend and belting out her ballads into our makeshift microphones (whisks) to celebrate a woman whose soul, strength and spirit has inspired us for  over half a century.
