CLASSES

TAKE PART!

Cook Space hosts a variety of classes for every level of cooking featuring our hands on approach. Private instruction also available in our studio or in your home.

Taught by Cook Space Founder, Michelle Mannix, and Culinary Director, Chef Nini, this signature class guides 12 guests through a 4-5 course dinner driven by the seasonal ingredients and the principle of cooking from a place of improvisation, instinct, and joy.

With guidance from your culinary coaches, you’ll have set time to brainstorm, prep, produce, and plate, as you become familiar with complimentary flavor profiles in your approach to your dishes.

The group will dine together in the dining atelier enjoying each other’s creations, learning from their fellow students, asking questions of the instructors all while enjoying a beautifully prepared dinner with wine and community.

Adhering to a well-balanced diet not only impacts how we feel physically, but research shows it impacts our mental health as well. Adding certain nutrient-rich foods to your diet can increase serotonin levels and promote brain health while the meditative act cooking itself does wonders for your psyche. In this class, we'll cook with foods that have a positive impact on our mental health and create a meal that will feed the mind, body, and soul.

Following the class, students will enjoy the meal together in the Cook Space dining room with a conversation facilitated by Laura Camilleri and Cook Space founder Michelle Mannix. Together, we will explore the ways in which acts of meditation, nutrition, and connectivity (just to name a few!) all contribute to a healthier state of mind.

Laura currently teaches for The Class by Taryn Toomey and is assistant in the Teacher Training Program. Her grounded and nurturing spirit, coupled with a Masters in Social Work and years of experience in supporting and counseling women allows her to create a safe and supportive space for her students to feel what they need to feel and move the way they need to move that is expressive and without judgement. Laura's hope is that the work provides an opportunity for her students to learn that they can trust their own strength and internal wisdom and that learning how to feel and be vulnerable is the most beautiful way to connect to ourselves and others.
