CULINARY CONFIDENCE SERIES

Our flagship culinary course here at Cook Space, this series is designed to arm students with the technical tools and skills to explore their culinary curiosities to full effect. These 6 week series are available in Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Levels, and are designed and taught by our Michelin alumna culinary director, Nini Nguyen.

Building Culinary Confidence | 10 week series

The kitchen can be daunting, particularly for those approaching cooking for the first time, but it needn’t be. Whether you’re a novice cook or complete beginner, we’re here to guide you through the basics and build your culinary confidence so you can identify what tastes good to you. In this ten week course, we’ll arm you with the fundamental tools to understand, explore and develop your own personal tastes. You’ll master essential techniques in knife skills, searing, sauteeing, roasting, blanching and learn about the importance of advance preparation to save you time and stress. In the final class of the series, you’ll use the skills you’ve acquired to create a dish entirely your own, from scratch, to share with your fellow students

During the ten week series we will cover, among others, the following techniques and topics

- Knife Skills

- Roasting + Baking

- Searing

- Classic French Sauces

- Steaming + Stir Frying

- Deep Frying

- Flatbreads + Biscuits

- Fresh Pastas

- Marinades + Rubs
